Yesterday, Janice, Tina, and I went to the mall after watching The Secret World of Arrietty. I thought the movie was okay, not terrible, but I expected more from a Studio Ghibli film. The first store we stepped in was Old Navy and I saw a guy with ash on his forehead walking ahead. I thought it was a birthmark, so I didn’t pay much attention to it. When we walked out, I saw another guy with the same ash mark on this forehead. Oh my god, is that the same guy from before.. After we ate lunch, I saw more people with ash on their foreheads. I got scared and I was like, “Psst, is it just me or are there lots of people with black marks on their foreheads? It’s scaring me, it’s like a cult or something.” I got home and watched the news as usual and I realized it was Ash Wednesday.
